He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 43 years, Amelia (Lala) Pequeño Hernandez, his parents, Eleuterio Hernandez and Maria Candelaria Delgado, his brother Roberto Hernandez, his sister Maria Minerva Hernandez, and niece Altagracia Arambula.

He is survived by his six children, Mary Lou (Oscar) Ponce, Roberto Hernandez, Letty (Frank) Galindo, Eduardo Hernandez, Jr. (Isabel), Alicia Hernandez (Jesse Trevino, boyfriend), Gracie (Jose Angel) Serrata, 16 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren, and a great-grandbaby girl on the way. He enjoyed watching Saturday night Boxing and buying pick three lottery numbers. Dad, we’ll play your numbers for you.

The family would like to thank Dr. Frances Gumbel who Dad not only considered him his physician, but his nephew. Thank you for caring for Dad until the end. We would also like to thank the staff at Sunshine Haven, Inc. for keeping Dad comfortable as he made his journey home.
