Carmen Nájera

Carmen Nájera, 72, of Brownsville, passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen.

Carmen was born in Brownsville, TX, to Guadalupe Coronado and Jose Anselmo Guerra on December 18, 1951. She was preceded in death by her mother, Guadalupe Guerra; brother, Jose Anselmo Guerra, Jr.; and sister, Blanca Estella Guerra.

She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years of marriage, Desi Najera; children, Desi Najera, Jr. (Yvonne), Andy Najera (Zoraida), Ricardo Najera (Liliana), Rebecca Holler (Aaron), Theresa Morales (Rigoberto, Jr.), and Monica Reyes (Rodrigo, Jr.); her father, Jose Anselmo Guerra; brothers, David Felipe Guerra, Carlos Andres Guerra, and Juan Gerardo Guerra; sisters, Maria Theresa Aguirre, Rita Ann Andarza, and Amanda Alicia Maldonado; 17 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM - 9:00 PM with a Celebration of Life Service at 6:00 pm Saturday, April 27, 2024, at Garza Memorial Funeral Home. All services will conclude after visitation.
