Leonila Lord "Lela"

Leonila Lord "Lela", 82, of Brownsville, passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at Solara Hospital in Brownsville.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Leopoldo and Dolia Tijerina; husband, Robert Richard Lord; her son, Mark Anthony Lord, and her sister, Minerva Uresti.

Leonila Lord is survived by her children: Lisa Lord (Juan), Lynda L. Lord, Michael J. Lord (Claudia), Celia L. Lord, Robert Richard Lord, Jr., and Sergio Nicolas Lord (Rhonda); siblings: Natalia Wells, Ofilia Cantu, Arturo Tijerina, Elida Tijerina, and Bertha Landez; 7 grandchildren: Sarah M. Muñoz, Ramsey R. Muñoz, Leann L. Lord, Mark A. Lord, Amy L. Lord, Christian J. Lord, and Xavier C. Lord.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 9:00 pm with a Rosary at 7:00 pm Friday, February 23, 2024, at Garza Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, February 24, 2024, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Committal will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be, Michael J. Lord, Mark A. Lord, Ramsey R. Muñoz, Ricardo Alfaro, Arturo Alfaro, Jr., Sergio N. Castañeda, and Juan M. Figueroa.
