Antonio M. Garcia

ANTONIO M. GARCIA, 90, passed away on Saturday, April 28, 2018, at The Rio at Fox Hollow Nursing Home surrounded by his loving family in Brownsville, Tx.

Mr. Garcia worked for the Harlingen Irrigation District for 30 years. There was not a tune he couldn’t whistle.  He enjoyed all sporting events but especially baseball.  His conversations were enjoyable and he never complained.  He lived his life with humility and honor.

 He was preceded in death by his parents, Felix and Margarita Garcia; and a son, Antonio Garcia, Jr.

He is survived by his wife of 67 yrs., Maria De Los Angeles Garcia; his 6 children, Cruz, Margarita, Francisco, Ismael, Eddie and Gabby Garcia; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 pm Tuesday, May 1, 2018, at Garza Memorial Funeral Home Chapel.  Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, May 2, 2018, at San Felipe De Jesus Catholic Church, 2215 Rancho Viejo Ave, Brownsville, Tx.  Committal will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
