Celia "Irene" Perez de Macias

Celia “Irene” Perez de Macias, 64, was called to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 26, 2018, at Valley Regional Medical Center in Brownsville, Tx.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Trinidad and Irene Perez.

Celia is survived by her husband, Juan Manuel Macias; 2 sons, Juan Pedro Macias and Victor Manuel Macias; 1 daughter, Irene Alejandrina (Gabriel, Jr.) Gutierrez; her siblings, Juan Perez, Gabriel Perez, Yolanda Perez, Elida Perez, Rosie Perez, Maria Arreola and Eva Muñoz; 5 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 4 pm to 9 pm with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7 pm on Tuesday, May 29, 2018, at Good Shepherd Catholic Church.  Funeral Mass will be held at 10 am on Wednesday, May 30, 2018, at Good Shepherd Catholic Church.  Committal will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.

Que el Señor te bendiga y te guarde, vuelva a ti su rostro, y te de la Paz. Se apagó la luz de tu alegría, nos dejas una gran enseñanza por tu singular forma de vivir y de gozar la vida, por tu capacidad de amar y de perdonar a tus semejantes, por ser una mujer incansable y muy trabajadora, por tu inmenso amor a Dios, a tu familia, y a tus hermanos en Cristo.
