Maria Guadalupe (Mejorado) Martinez

Maria Guadalupe Martinez, 84, of Brownsville, passed away on Sunday, October 7, 2018, at Valley Regional Medical Center in Brownsville.

Maria Guadalupe Martinez was born in Sarita, TX to Martina Rivera-Vasquez and Juan D. Mejorado on July 12, 1934.

She is preceded in death by her husband; Jose Apolonio Martinez; son, Jose A. Martinez, Jr.; sisters, Gloria M. Perez, Alma Nora Mejorado, and a brother Juan Mejorado, Jr..

Maria Guadalupe Martinez is survived by her brothers, Tomas (Ofelia Jaramillo) Mejorado, Mario (Bertha Magallanes) Mejorado, and Jorge (Consuelo Calzada) Mejorado and several other family members.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 PM - 9:00 PM with the Holy Rosary at 7:00 PM Friday, October 12th, 2018 at Garza Memorial Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held 9:00 AM Saturday, October 13th, 2018 at Immaculate Conception Cathedral. Committal will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Gabriel Cadena, Gary Mejorado, David Mejorado, Jorge E. Mejorado, Juan Vasquez, and Joel Mejorado.
