Maria Ornelas

Maria Ornelas, 90, passed away on Wednesday, September 19, 2018, at her residence in Brownsville, TX.

She is preceded in death by husband, Mariano Ornelas; siblings, Margarita, Petra, Gonzala, Catalina, Hilaria, and Miguel Araiza.

Mrs. Ornelas is survived by her children, Cruz, Rolando, Martha, Jose Antonio, Juliana, Blanca, Mariano, Jr., and Otilia; a brother, Leandro Araiza;  34 grandchildren, 71 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 1 pm to 9 pm with an Evening Service at 7 pm on Saturday, September 22, 2018, at Garza Memorial Funeral Home.  Visitation will continue from 11 am to 2 pm with a Chapel Service at 2 pm Sunday, September 23, 2018, at Garza Memorial Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
