Natalia Mena Galarza

Natalia Mena Galarza, 93, passed away on Monday, April 30, 2018, at her residence surrounded by her loving family in Brownsville, Tx.

Natalia Mena Galarza was born in Austin, Tx., to Manuel Mena and Tomasa Gonzalez Mena on December 22, 1924.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Perfecto Galarza, Sr.; her parents, Manuel Mena and Tomasa Gonzalez; 2 brothers, Manuel and Robert Mena; and 2 sisters, Amparo Olivares and Aurora Contreras. 

She is survived by her children, Gloria (Ismael) Barron, Juanita (Sebastian) Reyna, Rosario (Rolando) Bustinza, Perfecto Galarza, Evaristo (Estela) Galarza, Maria S. (Juan) Juarez, Santiago (Rossy) Galarza and Carlos (Elvira) Galarza; a brother, Salvador Mena; a sister, Dora Vanegas; 21 grandchildren, Sandra, Ismael, Jr., Eric, Monica, Michelle, Mark, Melissa, Rolando, Roel, Rocky, Roselee, Rey, Jessie, Evaristo, Jr., Nathalie, Anahi, Ernie, Anabell, Priscilla, Karla and Klarissa; 33 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm with the recitation of the Holy Rosary, will begin at 6:00 pm followed by a Chapel Service at 8:00 pm on Thursday, May 3, 2018, at Garza Memorial Funeral Home. All services will conclude at the end of the Chapel Service with cremation to follow according to her wishes.
