Paula Ramirez Vasquez

Paula (Ramirez) Vasquez, 94, of Brownsville, TX, entered eternal rest on January 26, 2019, with her loving family at her side.

Paula was born in Brownsville to Pablo and Feliciana Ramirez on May 12, 1924.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Aristeo P. Vasquez; parents, Pablo and Feliciana Ramirez; two sisters, Guadalupe Ramirez and Ignacia Correa; and grandson, Daniel C. Guerrero II.

Paula is survived by her daughters, Rosalinda Greenfelder of Papillion, NE, Cynthia (Daniel) Guerrero of Hope Mills, NC, Victoria (Roberto) Cano, Sylvia A. Price of Brownsville, TX; sons, Aristeo (Sir) Vasquez Jr. of Thailand and Jose (Carol) Vasquez of Brownsville, TX.; 12 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren  and two great-great-grandchildren; numerous nephews and nieces.

Visitation will be held at 5 pm with a Rosary at 6 pm on Sunday, January 27, 2019, at Garza Memorial Funeral Home.

Visitation will continue at 12 noon followed by a Funeral Mass at 1 pm on Monday,  January 28, 2019, at Immaculate Cathedral. Burial will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park, 125 McDavitt Blvd, Brownsville, TX.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Cano, Veronica Gonzales, Mark Cano, David Greenfelder, Michael Vasquez, and Stephanie Simpson.
