Guadalupe Solis Torres, 83, passed away Monday, May 15, 2017 at Valley Regional Medical Center in Brownsville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jose Maria Torres, Sr. and two sons Jose M. Torres, Jr. and Arturo Torres, Sr.

She is survived by her Sons, Albert (Martha) Torres, Rodrigo (Rosalinda) Torres, Norman Torres, Raul Antonio (Rosario) Torres and Hector (Alejandra) Torres; two half-brothers, Ambrocio and Pedro Garza; 8 Grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at Garza Memorial Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral Mass is tentatively scheduled at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at Christ the King Catholic Church. Interment will follow to Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Estimada familia Torres. Nada es comparable al profundo dolor de perder a un ser querido. Se siente un vacio y una tristeza muy grande pero podemos encontrar consuelo en el mensaje de la biblia. El salmista imploro a Dios: "Sirva tu bondad amorosa por favor, para consolarme" (Sal. 119:76). Una manera muy destacada como nuestro Padre celestial nos conforta es dandonos animo y guia. El Salmo 119:105 dice que su palabra es una lampara y una luz que ilumina nuestro camino. Le animamos a encontrar consuelo en el mensaje de la biblia.
