Yolanda Garza Cordova, 64, of Brownsville, passed away on January 4, 2018 in Brownsville, Texas.

She was born in Brownsville to Jose Guadalupe and Santos Garza on April 21, 1953. 

Yolanda was preceded in death by her parents, Jose Guadalupe and Santos Garza and her first husband, Jesus Antonio Cordova.

She is survived by her husband, George Peña, her son Jesus Antonio (Alma Veronica) Cordova, Jr.;  her stepson, George, Jr. (Erica) Peña; Her siblings, Juan Hector Garza, Maria Isabel Guerra, Esmeralda Garza, Eloisa Garza and Elisa Garza; grandchildren, Ashley Rene Cordova and Javier Antonio Cordova., JP Peña and Lenette Peña; Her niece, Patricia Martinez; In laws, Angie (Chuy) Tabasco, Mimi (Eddie) Casares, Bonnie, Kiro (Linda) Peña, Ray (Rosie) Peña and Charlie Peña and her beloved pets Chato, Piwi, and Max.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m., Sunday, January 7, 2018 at Garza Memorial Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Monday, January 8, 2017, at Garza Memorial Funeral Home. Interment will follow to Buena Vista Burial Park.

Serving as pallbearers will be George Martinez, Hector Garza, Charlie Peña, Eddie Casares, Jose Jesus Tabasco, Delfino “Baby” Mendoza III, Isidro “Kiro” Peña and Javier Antonio Cordova

My warmest condolences, Death leaves a heartache no human can heal, love leaves a memory no longer one can steal. Jehovah God promises we will be able to see love ones again. How comforting to know that this is exactly what God will do for all those resting in the "memorial tombs". John 5:28, 29.
