Anselmo Salazar

Anselmo Salazar, 73, of Brownsville, passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at his residence in Brownsville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Francisca and Manuel Salazar; brother, Manuel Salazar, Jr.; sisters, Crispina Dixon, Ignacia Torres, and Oralia Gallegos.

Anselmo is survived by his wife, Dominga Tabarez; children, Margarita Salazar, and Anselmo Salazar, Jr., siblings, Eugenio Salazar, Jose Salazar, Guadalupe Delgado, and Petra Salazar; grandchildren, Sebastian Lee Salazar, Vivien Martinez, Mathew Salazar, Samantha Salazar, Victoria Salazar, and Andrew Salazar; 3 great-grandchildren, Ruth Lopez, Julian Lopez, and Bella Martinez.

Pallbearers will be, Anselmo Salazar, Jr., Sebastian Salazar, Jose Manuel Salazar, Efrain Salazar, Julio Martinez, and Rafael Ramirez.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 pm - 9:00 pm with a service at 7:00 pm Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at Garza Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm Thursday, July 18, 2024, at Garza Memorial Funeral Home. Committal will follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
