Apolonia Martinez

Apolonia Martinez, 88, of Brownsville, passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at her residence in Brownsville.

Apolonia Martinez was born in Tampico, Mx., to Carmen Gomez and Jesus De La Garza, on January 26, 1936. She was preceded in death by her husband, Israel C. Martinez; sons, Israel Martinez, and Israel Martinez, Jr.,(Norma), and Carlos Martinez (Linda).

Apolonia Martinez is survived by her children, Lazaro Martinez (Lourdes), Margarita "Maggi" Medina (Ernesto), Elsa Martinez, Karmen James, Luisa Martinez, Ricardo Martinez, Elena Martinez (Samuel), Salvador Martinez, and Criselda Martinez; sister, Soledad Martinez; 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm - 9:00 pm with a Rosary at 7:00 pm Friday, October 4th, 2024, at Garza Memorial Funeral Home. All services will conclude after visitation.
