Beatriz Montañez Rios

Beatriz Montañez Rios, 97, of Brownsville, passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2024, at her residence in Brownsville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesus Pecina Garcia; children: Gerardo Pecina, Tomasita Pesina, Francisco Pesina, Javier, Lupita, and Jesus Pecina.

Beatriz Montañez is survived by his children: Concepcion Pecina, Rosalia Avalos, Severa Pecina, Margarita Pesina, Maria Leticia Dueñes, and Beatriz Pecina; sisters: Apolinaria Montez, and Catalina Montañez; 21 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm - 9:00 pm with a Rosary at 7:00 pm Tuesday, January 9th, 2024, at Garza Memorial Funeral Home. All services will conclude after visitation.
