Camilo Salinas

Camilo Salinas, 70, of Brownsville, passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Brownsville.

Camilo Salinas was born in Los Fresnos, TX, to Maria Garcia and Ricardo Salinas on July 18, 1953.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Maria and Ricardo Salinas; brother, Ricardo Salinas.

Camilo Salinas is survived by his wife, Esther M. Salinas; children: Camilo Alejandro Salinas, Jr. (Martha), Jacob Salinas (Julie), and Betty Jean Salinas Mazariegos (William); siblings: Juanita "Janie" Tarango, Emilia Cisneros, Elvira Salinas, Jose Salinas, Margarita Salinas, Maria Guadalupe Garcia, and Francisco Salinas; grandchildren, Alejandra Salinas, Esteban Salinas, Jacob J. Salinas, Julissa A. Hernandez, Daniel M. Mazariegos, Diego A, Mazariegos, and Ariana N. Maravilla; 1 great-grandchild, baby Matteo Alessandro Hernandez.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM - 9:00 PM, with a Rosary at 7:00 PM Thursday, December 21st, 2023, at Garza Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 8:30 AM Friday, December 22nd, 2023, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Committal will follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Camilo Salinas can be made to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
