Consuelo Degollado Chavez, 89, of Brownsville, passed away on Monday, March 22, 2021, at Valley Regional Medical Center in Brownsville.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Arturo Chavez; parents, Francisco and Elena Degollado; 2 sons, Juan Jose and Ricardo Chavez.

Consuelo Degollado Chavez is survived by her children, Maria Leticia, Diana, Alicia, Yolanda, Irma, Arturo, Jr., and Roberto Chavez; 3 sisters, Angelita, Inez, and Teofila Degollado; 22 grandchildren, and 24 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm - 9:00 pm with a Rosary at 7:00 pm on Monday, March 29th, 2021, at Garza Memorial Funeral Home. Continue visitation from 9:00 am - 1:20 pm on Tuesday, March 30th, 2021, at Garza Memorial Funeral Home. Graveside Service will follow at 2:00 pm at San Pedro Cemetery.
