Obituary

Daniel Gutierrez, 68, of Brownsville, passed away on Monday, March 7, 2022, at his residence in Brownsville.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Raul Gutierrez and Carolina Salinas; son, Daniel Gutierrez, Jr.; brothers, Raul Gutierrez, Jr., Israel, Jose, and David Gutierrez; sister, Linda Gutierrez.

He is survived by his wife, Yolanda Marfileno Gutierrez; children, Jesse Marfileno, Eric B. Gutierrez, Jacob James Gutierrez, Jolanta Joyce Gutierrez, and Patricia A. Gutierrez; siblings, Armando Gutierrez, Martha Gutierrez, Guadalupe (Freddy) Salinas, Luis Gutierrez, Florencia Ramirez, and Elida Salinas; three grandchildren, Jacob Gutierrez, Jaqueline Marfileno, and Maya.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm - 9:00 pm with a Rosary at 7:00 pm on Saturday, March 12, 2022, at Garza Memorial Funeral Home. All services will conclude after visitation.
Entombment of ashes will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wed. March 16, 2022 at Rio Grande Veterans Cemetery in Mission Tx. Military Honors will be conducted at site.
