Estefana B. Agado, 90, of San Benito, passed away on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at Windsor Atrium in Harlingen.
Estefana was a truly remarkable person, beloved for her passion for sewing, gardening, and cooking. Her flour tortillas and buñuelos were especially famous and brought joy to many. She cherished her family deeply and found happiness in shopping, visiting relatives far and wide, traveling to new places, and immersing herself in the challenge of crossword puzzles. Her warmth and dedication to those she loved made her an unforgettable presence in their lives.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Feliberto Agado Sr., and her parents, Manuel E. and Leonor Benavides.
Estefana is survived by her six children: Olga De Leon(Rene) Feliberto Agado Jr.(Betty), Gilberto B. Agado, Jose Agado, Roberto Agado (Amy) and Amalia Gonzalez(David). She also leaves behind seventeen grandchildren: Chris, Alana, Nick, Cheyenne, Angel, Kaylor, Jose, Amanda, Ariana, Arely, Anahi, Alissa, Eric, David, Daniel, Cynthia, and Andy; along with sixteen great-grandchildren. Additionally, she is survived by three siblings: Otilia Cavazos, Eugenio Benavides, and Rafaela Benavides, as well as her cousin, Maria Rodriguez, and numerous other relatives.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 9:00 PM, with a Chapel Service at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at Garza Memorial Funeral Home. All services will conclude after the visitation.
