Estefana Garza Ortega, 88, of Brownsville, passed away on Friday, April 3, 2020, at Alta Vista Nursing Home in Brownsville.

She is preceded in death by her her sons, Guadalupe and Juan Ortega; parents, Nicolás and Catarina García; brothers, Guadalupe and Jesús Garza; sisters, Anita Melendez, Amelia Alaniz Garza, Gregoria G. Ibarra, Trinidad Garza, and Juana G. Martinez.

Estefana is survived by her grandchildren, Maricela, Elisa, Luis Raul, Amelia, Sandra, and Guadalupe Ortega; numerous nieces, and nephews.
