Gene I Burdick, 81, of Brownsville, passed away on Friday, April 22, 2022, at his residence surrounded by his loving family in Brownsville.
GeneI Burdick was born in Clintonville, WI. In 1978 he relocated to Brownsville, TX. He worked at Eagle International for several years and at Ranco. Gene was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by his family, friends, neighbors, and those fortunate to have known him.
Gene was preceded in death by his parents and sister.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Angelita Burdick; two children, Carmen Lacy and Steven (Norma) Burdick; three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, extended family members, numerous nieces and nephews, friends, and wonderful and helpful neighbors.
The family of Gene I Burdick wishes to thank Dr. Antonio Diaz and his staff, Dr. Sarhill and his team at Texas Oncology, and the very caring nurses at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen.
