Guadalupe Blackmore, 80, of Brownsville, passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen.
Guadalupe Blackmore was preceded in death by her loving husband, Santiago Blackmore and her parents: Mr. & Mrs. Valdez Castro Alcala. Deceased brothers: Polo Valdez and Julio Valdez; Sisters: Sonia Castro, Ortencia Alcala and Justina Castro.
She is survived by her children: Feliciano Hernandez, Rosalinda Hernandez, Lorenzo Hernandez, Adalia Copca, Santiago Blackmore Jr.; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces ,and nephews. Brothers: Pablo Alcala, and Ruben Serrano.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm - 9:00 pm with a Prayer Service at 7:00 pm Thursday, March 19, 2026, at Garza Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, March 20, 2026, at Garza Memorial Funeral Home. Committal will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
Pallbearers will be: Dr. James R. Edwards, Feliciano, Lorenzo, Santiago Jr., Adrian Jr., Brandon and Ace.
