Guadalupe Leal Obituary

In Loving Memory of Guadalupe Leal

It is with deep sorrow and love that we announce the passing of Guadalupe Leal, who left us peacefully at the age of 77 on June 21, 2025, at his home. Guadalupe was a devoted father, a cherished brother, and a beloved uncle who touched the lives of all who knew him with his quiet strength, warm heart, and enduring kindness.

Guadalupe was preceded in death by his father, Vidal Leal; his mother, Concepcion Olivares, and by his beloved spouse, Amalia Leal, whose memory he held close throughout his life as well as his sisters:  Irene Leal Olivares, Pilar Gonzalez Leal, and Elva Martinez. He is survived by his son, Manuel Leal; his sister, Concepcion De Anda, and his beloved nieces and nephews who will forever carry his stories, laughter, and love in their hearts, and to whom he represented a pillar of strength.

Guadalupe was known for his steady presence, his strong sense of family, and the gentle wisdom he shared with those around him. Whether through his work, his friendships, or his family, he lived a life rooted in integrity, humility, and compassion.  His legacy will live on in the lives he touched and the memories he helped create. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.

A service to honor and celebrate Guadalupe’s life will be held on June 27th starting at 4 pm, with a rosary starting at 6 pm, at Garza Memorial Funeral Home, 1025 East Jackson Street, Brownsville, TX 78520.
