Jorge Castillo Obituary
We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Jorge Luis Castillo, 65, of Brownsville, who left us on Saturday, September 20, 2025.
Jorge was born in H. Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico, to Hilda Saenz and Vicente Castillo. He was a passionate artist who found joy in drawing and painting. His love for music and action movies brought him happiness, and he especially cherished the moments spent dancing with his beloved wife.
Jorge is preceded in death by his devoted parents, Vicente Castillo Caballero and Hilda Saenz, as well as his sister, Nydia Nelda Castillo. Their memories will forever remain in our hearts.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Rafaela Castillo, along with five children: Alfredo Gonzalez (Lorena), Amanda Lee Ramos (Armando), Ramon Araguz Gonzalez, Mary Belen Gonzalez Pizana (Martin), and Albert Martin Gonzalez (Aurora). He is also survived by his six siblings: Hilda Castillo Saenz, Ruben Castillo, Vicente Castillo Saenz, Arnoldo Castillo, Lidia Guadalupe Castillo Saenz, and Pedro Antonio Castillo Saenz, along with many other relatives who will miss him dearly.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with a rosary at 7:00 PM on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at Garza Memorial Funeral Home. We invite everyone to come together to honor Jorge's life. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico, where his spirit will continue to be cherished.
