Jose M. Diaz

Jose M. Diaz, 91, of Brownsville, passed away on Sunday, August 4, 2019, at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Brownsville.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Luisa Diaz; a son, Marcos Diaz; and grandson, Joe Cuevas.

Mr. Diaz is survived by his wife, Elisa Diaz; son, Santiago Diaz; daughters, Concepcion Rodriguez, Luisa Diaz, Carmen Diaz, and Josefina Rodriguez; brothers, Pedro and Carlos Diaz; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 am - 9:00 pm with a Rosary at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2019, at Garza Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2019, at Good Shepherd Catholic Church. Committal will follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be: Santiago Diaz, Santiago Diaz, Jr., Leroy Diaz, Jaime Rodriguez, Arnold Rodriguez, Jr., Ernesto Cuevas, Jr., Jesse Garcia,and Arnoldo Rodriguez, Sr.
