Jose G. Rodriguez, 98, of Brownsville, passed away on Friday, May 14, 2021, at Rio At Fox Hollow Nursing Home in Brownsville.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Marcelino and Dorotea Rodriguez; wife, Josefina Rodriguez, and 10 siblings.

Jose G. Rodriguez is survived by his children, Noemi Rivas, Elvia Trejo, Maria Lopez, Leticia Rodriguez, Jose Luis Rodriguez, Jose Refugio Rodriguez, Jose C. Rodriguez, and Alfredo Rodriguez; brother, Antonio Rodriguez; 30 grandchildren, 59 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm - 9:00 pm with Prayer Service at 7:00 pm on Thursday, May 20, 2021, at Garza Memorial Funeral Home. Chapel Service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, May 21, 2021, at Garza Memorial Funeral Home. Committal will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
