Jose Socorro Sanchez Lopez, 78, of Brownsville, passed away on Thursday, June 17, 2021, at his residence in Brownsville.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Geronimo and Juanita Sanchez; a son, Martin Sanchez; a brother, Antonio Sanchez, and sister, Petra Velarde.

Mr. Sanchez is survived by his wife, Evangelina Sanchez; 2 sons, Daniel and Marco Sanchez; and a daughter, Diana Pizaña; his brother, Uvaldo Sanchez; 4 grandchildren, Martin, Andrea, Diego, and Mariana Sanchez.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm - 9:00 pm with a Rosary at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, June 23, 2021, at Garza Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, June 24, 2021, at Good Shepherd Catholic Church. Committal will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
