Juan Roberto Hernandez

"With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Juan Roberto Hernandez, 64, of Brownsville, who left this world to be with our Lord, on November 10, 2025, at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen surrounded by his family. Born on December 14, 1960, Robert was a jack-of-all trades and enjoyed his coffee, fishing and hunting but most of all enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. His love, joy and kindness will always be remembered and live in our hearts.

He is survived by his wife Elia Hernandez Juarez and three children, Veronica Hernandez, Juan Roberto Hernandez Jr., and Sara Hernandez, a half sister, several grandchildren, aunts, cousins, nephews and nieces.


Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Sara Cruz and Roberto Z. Hernandez, brothers Ernesto Hernandez and Arnulfo Hernandez, and several aunts and uncles.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
A rosary will be held at 6:00 PM with a prayer service/blessing at 7pm on Saturday, November 22nd, 2025, at Garza Memorial Funeral Home."
