Luisa (Reyna) Alvarez

Luisa Alvarez, 92, of Brownsville, passed away on Monday, August 2, 2021, at Sunshine Haven Inc. in Olmito.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Victor Alvarez; parents, Fernando and Antonia Reyna; son, Jesus Alvarez; siblings, Ruben, Ovidio, Gregoria, Margarita, Romalda, and Enrique Reyna.

Luisa Alvarez is survived by her son, Tito Alvarez; 4 daughters, Magdalena Garcia, Imelda Ramirez, Elicia Garcia, and Yolanda Tamayo; 23 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 pm - 9:00 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm on Thursday, August 5, 2021. Chapel Service will be at 1:00 pm on Friday, August 6, 2021, at Garza Memorial Funeral Home. Committal will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.

Pallbearers will be Victor Alvarez, Tito Alvarez, Jr., Jaime Alvarez, Jose Alfredo Ramirez, Jr., Juan Jose Ramirez, Ismael Garcia, Jr., Manuel Garcia, and Jose Antonio Tamayo.
