Luz E. Briones

Luz E. Briones, 86, of Brownsville, passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at her residence in Brownsville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Geronimo Espinoza and Hermelinda Ramirez; a son, J. Homero Briones; siblings, Alejandro, Geronimo, and Raul Espinoza.

Luz is survived by her husband, Homero Briones Rivera; children, Adan y Veronica Berlanga, J. Alberto y Sonia Briones, J. Eduardo Briones, Jaime F. y JoAnn Briones, y Myles y Brenda Paredes; siblings, Ofelia Chavez, Theodoro, Hermelinda, Guadalupe, Carlos, and Yolanda Espinoza; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm - 9:00 pm with a Rosary at 7:00 pm Sunday, March 31st, 2024, at Garza Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am Monday, April 1st, 2024, at Garza Memorial Funeral Home. Committal will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.

Pallbearers will be: Ian Geronimo Briones, Myles Alexander Paredes, Ryan Michael Paredes, Alberto Briones, Eduardo Briones, Jaime Briones, and Adan Berlanga.
