Luz Maria Garza "Lucy"

Luz Maria Garza "Lucy", 88, of Port Isabel, Texas, passed away on Friday, February 9, 2024, at her residence in San Angelo, Texas surrounded by her loving family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ramon Ochoa Garza; son, Ricardo Garza; father, Juan Salcedo; stepfather, Alejandro Mendez Quintero; mother, Juanita Salcedo Mendez Quintero; siblings: Javier, Samuel, Alfonso Salcedo (Dolores), and Ester Barrientes (Alfonso).

Luz Maria Garza is survived by her daughter, Melissa Ann Garza (Manuel Mier); brother, Joseph Salcedo (Mary); and sister, Teresa Salcedo Alcantara; 3 grandchildren: Vanessa Jo Castillo, Alejandro Manuel Mier (Irene Monique Delgado Mier), and David Mier (Krisia Vallejo Mier); 3 great-grandchildren: Nicolas Giovanni Solis "Nico", Syla Monique Mier, and baby boy Mier.

Visitation will be held Thursday, February 15, 2024, from 4:00 pm - 9:00 pm with a Rosary at 7:00 pm at Garza Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held Friday, February 16, 2024, at 11:00 am at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 705 S. Longoria St., Port Isabel, TX. Burial will follow to Port Isabel Cemetery.
