Maria De Jesus (Torres) Baldonado

Maria De Jesus Baldonado, 84, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, who cared and loved her family, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Brownsville.

Maria was well known for her flour tortillas, and was a mother to all who needed it. She was preceded in death by her husband, Isidro Baldonado; parents, Francisco and Guadalupe Ramirez, and a son, Felix Gonzalez.

Maria is survived by her children, Marcela Peña, Ausencio Gonzalez, Isidro Baldonado, Estevan Savedra, Luis Baldonado, Danny Baldonado, Julian Baldonado, Silvia Baldonado, and Emiliano Baldonado; siblings, Francisco Ramirez, Jr., Lorenza Ramirez, and Maria Elena Garcia; 10 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, 9 great-great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm - 9:00 pm with a Rosary at 7:00 pm on Friday, May 5, 2023. Chapel Service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at Garza Memorial Funeral Home. All services will conclude at the end of the service, as per Mrs. Baldonado final wishes, cremation will follow.
