Maria C. Gonzalez, 60, of Brownsville, passed away on Monday, May 17, 2021 at Valley Regional Medical Center in Brownsville.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Andres and Maria Barrios; sister, Juana Velez.

Maria C. Gonzalez is survived by her husband, Concepcion Sosa; 4 children, Maria Gonzalez, Alfredo Gonzalez, Jr., Griselda Gonzalez, and Ricardo Gonzalez; siblings, Holegaria Garza, Laura Bueno, Raquel Aceves, Manuel Barrios, Reynaldo Barrios, and Elvira Gonzalez; 9 grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm - 9:00 pm with a Prayer Service at 7:00 pm on Friday, May 21, 2021, at Garza Memorial Funeral Home. Chapel service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, May 22, 2021, at Garza Memorial Funeral Home. Graveside Service will follow at 11:00 am at Guillen Community Cemetery.
