Maria G. Gomez de Ayala, 69, of Brownsville, passed away on Tuesday, July 20, 2021, at her residence in Brownsville.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Manuel Gomez Guerra, and Maria Natividad Yerena; son, Carlos Ayala.

Maria G. Gomez de Ayala is survived by her husband, Ignacio Ayala; children, Calixto Manuel (Leticia) Ayala, Maria Natividad (Javier) Ayala De Ramones, and Mercedes Ayala; daughter-in-law, Nelly Ayala; brothers, Ramon and Vicente Gomez; 9 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm - 9:00 pm with a Rosary at 7:00 pm on Friday, July 23rd, 2021, at Garza Memorial Funeral Home. Chapel Service will be held 11:00 am on Saturday, July 24th, 2021, at Garza Memorial Funeral Home. Committal will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
