Maria Isabel Milian, 54, of Brownsville, passed away on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at Valley Regional Medical Center in Brownsville.
Born on February 8, 1971, in Corpus Christi, TX, Maria, better known as Isabel was the cherished daughter of Maria Luna Garcia and the late Isidoro Garcia Ríos.
Isabel is survived by her loving husband of 36 years Jesus Manuel Milian; her daughters Perla Isabel Jaramillo (Sergio) and Karla Rubi Garza (Rodolfo). She is also survived by her precious grandchildren Mariaisabel Jaramillo, Sergio Jaramillo and Anapaula Garza. Isabel also leaves her siblings Margarito Abelar (Martha), Jose Garcia (Margarita), Jesus Antonio Garcia (Claudia), Alma Morris (Ben) and Isidoro Garcia (Patricia) plus many nieces and nephews.
Isabel was preceded in death by her older sister, Sylvia Abelar.
Isabel's greatest joy was spending time with her husband Jesus, her family and especially her grandchildren. She loved to cook for anyone and everyone that would sit at her table. And all those in turn took great joy in eating her delicious food. Aside from cooking, Isabel was known to love the thrill of discovering treasures at garage sales. She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, Godmother and friend to all. To know Isabel was to love Isabel. Her passing leaves an enormous void in her family's heart.
Services for Maria will be held at Funerales Jardines del Recuerdo at a later date, with no local services planned.
Her memory will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
