Maria O. (Orozco) Gonzalez

Maria Orozco Gonzalez, 88, of Brownsville, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 21, 2022, at her home surrounded by her family. Maria will be remembered for her love of God, family, and her faith. Maria was a devoted Christian Catholic, a prayer warrior, who attended mass at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church faithfully for many years. Maria will be dearly missed.
She was a woman full of integrity, honesty, frankness, and love. She was passionate about singing and praying to the Lord. Maria instilled her faith, morals, and values in her loved ones. She leaves behind her a legacy of faith for her loved ones to church and fellows.

Maria was born on May 17, 1934, and died on October 21, 2022, she is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Gonzalo G. Gonzalez; her sons, Gonzalo E. (Julia) and Rosbel Gonzalez; her daughters, Maria Rosa Gonzalez, Mary Elizabeth Hernandez (Luciano), and Gloria Luna (Carlos); her 18 grandchildren, and 35 great-grandchildren; her siblings, Jovita Villarreal, Gloria Nuñez, Alfredo Orozco, Jose Rodriguez, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Augustin Orozco Ponce, and Maria de Jesus Fraga; her siblings, Angelita Trejo, Susana Garza, Maria Eugeñia Orozco, Agustin Orozco, Jose Orozco, Julia O. Gonzalez, Maria de Jesus Orozco Treviño, Rosa Elia Jimenez, and great grandson, Carlos Adrian Luna III.
