Maria de la Paz Velasquez

Maria de la Paz Velasquez, 89, passed away on Sunday, May 27, 2018, at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Brownsville. Tx.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Antonio Rodriguez and Romana Moreno; a daughter, Alejandra Villegas Rodriguez.

She is survived by her husband, Fidel Velasquez, Jr.; her nine children, Victor A., Jesus Manuel, J.C. Arturo, Fidel Guillermo, Tita Sandra Luz, Gregoria, Catalina Villegas Rodriguez, Maria Graciela de Zamorano, and Maura de Longoria; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held yesterday, Tuesday, May 29, 2018, at Garza Memorial Funeral Home.  Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 pm today, Wednesday, May 30, 2018, at San Felipe de Jesus Catholic Church.
