Mary Barron Obituary

Our beloved mother entered into eternal rest on Saturday, June 6, 2020, in Friendswood, Texas, at age 88 after a long illness with dementia. Mary Lou was born on October 12, 1931, to Milo and Ma. Del Refugio Clough in Brownsville, Texas.
She is preceded in death by her husband Joe Barron Jr, her parents Milo and Ma. Del Refugio Clough her sister Frances Longoria and two brothers, Johnny and Daniel Clough.
Left to cherish her memory are her five children, George (Chris), Robert (Elsa), Jaime (Linda), Joe David (Barbra), and daughter Norma Ann Barron. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and six great/great-grandchildren.
Mary Lou was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who enjoyed cooking, dancing, singing, and an occasional glass of wine with friends. She was very active at the Senior Center and made many friends.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 11, 2020, at Garza Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, June 12, 2020, at Immaculate Conception Cathedral. Committal will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
