Maximo Arocena Ortiz, 77, of Brownsville, passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2022, at his residence in Brownsville.
Maximo Arocena Ortiz was born in H. Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico to Maria Antonia Arocena, and Maximo Ortiz, on September 18, 1944.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Maximo Ortiz, and Maria Antonia Arrocena; one granddaughter, Angelica N Carvajal.
He is survived by his wife, Olivia Ortiz, of Brownsville, TX; four children, Nancy Ortiz (Luis Eduardo Carrasco), Ivan Ortiz (Valerie Pesina), Liliana Ibet Ortiz (Omar Burgos Medina), and Alma Delia Rios (Ramon Cruz); twelve grandchildren, Yanely Carvajal, Yoselin Carvajal, Yanine Carvajal, Ysamaria Ortiz, Yvette Elia Ortiz, Rosealynn Irene Ortiz, Azael Jeiricho Ortiz, Haily Sue Lopez Ortiz, Alexa Yadira Rios, Yorley Janelle Rios, Jose Eduardo Rios, and Janitze Yamara Castillo; and four siblings, Rosa De La Garza, Juan Jose Ortiz, Javier Ortiz, and Martha Maria Ramos.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm - 9:00 pm on Tuesday and Wednesday, March 8 and 9, 2022, with a Rosary at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at Garza Memorial Funeral Home. Continue visitation from 9:00 am - 1:30 pm with Funeral service at 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm on Thursday, March 10, 2022, at Holy Family Catholic Church. Committal will follow at Guillen Community Cemetery.
