Mercedes (Saldaña) Saldaña

Mercedes Saldaña, 71, of Brownsville, passed away on Monday, November 1, 2021, at her residence in Brownsville.

She was born in Lomas del Real, Tamps., Mexico to Piedad Hernandez and Benjamin Saldaña on September 24, 1950.

Mercedes Saldaña is preceded in death by her husband, Joaquin Ramirez Ortega.

She is survived by her six children, Joaquin, Manuel, Maria Del Consuelo, Jose Antonio, Rey David, and Yesenia Ramirez Saldaña; sister, Herminia Espinoza; 27 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm - 9:00 pm with a Rosary at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, November 3, 2021, at Garza Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, November 4, 2021, at San Felipe de Jesus Catholic Church. All services will conclude after the Funeral Mass. Cremation to follow.
