Miguel Ibarra Melendez

Miguel Ibarra Melendez, 70, of Brownsville, passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at Solara Hospital in Brownsville.

Miguel Ibarra Melendez was born in Matamoros, Tamps, MX, to Sara Melendez and Jose Maria Ibarra on December 6, 1953. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose Maria Ibarra and Sara Melendez.

Miguel is survived by his wife, Maria De La Luz Ibarra; children, Maria Inez Ibarra, Monica Sanchez, Alfonso Ibarra, Jr., Miguel Ibarra, Ivette Ibarra, Joel Ibarra, Corina Ibarra, and Jose Maria Ibarra; siblings, Jesus Ibarra, Sara Carrasco, and Moncerato Ibarra; 17 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm - 9:00 pm Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at Garza Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 pm Thursday, April 11, 2024, at Garza Memorial Funeral Home. Committal will follow at Guillen Community Cemetery.
