Oscar Varela

Oscar Varela, 56, of Brownsville, passed away on Monday, March 21, 2022, at Solara Hospital in Brownsville.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Catalina R. Varela.

Oscar Varela is survived by his five children, Marco Antonio Varela, Allen Lee Varela, Bernice Arlene Varela, Pricilla Eunice Varela, and Rita Garcia; father, Jacobo Varela; siblings, Jacobo, Jr., Rene, and Janett Varela; and eight grandchildren.


Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm - 9:00 pm with a Chapel Service at 7:00 pm on Friday, March 25, 2022, at Garza Memorial Funeral Home. All services will conclude after visitation.
