Porfirio M. Vela

Porfirio M. Vela, 91, of Brownsville, passed away on Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at his residence in Brownsville.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Marcos and Eluteria Vela.

Mr. Vela is survived by his son, Porfirio (Nidia) Vela, Jr., and his daughter, Juanita (Francisco) Muñiz; siblings: Virginia, Adelaida, and Sixto Vela; five grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm - 9:00 pm, with the recitation of the Holy Rosary 7:00 pm on Friday, November 18, 2022, at Garza Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at Garza Memorial Funeral Home. Committal will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
