Rafael Galvan Ruiz, 90, of Brownsville, passed away on Monday, November 6, 2023, at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Brownsville.

Rafael Galvan Ruiz was born in Cruillas, Tamps., Mexico, to Maria De los Angeles Galvan and Jacobo Ruiz on December 6, 1932.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Paula Ruiz Guzman.

Rafael Galvan Ruiz is survived by his wife, Ramona Varela Lopez; children: Ricardo, Arturo, Jose Luis, Rafael, Noe, and Rene Ruiz; goddaughter, Josefina Alvear; 27 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren and other family.
