Ramon Torres Saavedra

Ramon Torres Saavedra, 85, of Brownsville, passed away on Friday, January 27, 2023, at his Residence in Brownsville.

Ramon Torres Saavedra was born in General Teran, N.L., Mexico, to Francisca Torres and Cayetano Saavedra on May 22, 1937.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cayetano and Francisca Saavedra; brother, Gregorio Saavedra, and sister, Elizabeth Saavedra; granddaughter, Bertha Rodriguez.

Ramon is survived by his wife, Elodia Saavedra; sons, Miguel Angel, Ramon, Jr., and Jorge Saavedra; daughters, Francisca Morales, Bertha and Norma Saavedra; sisters, Josefina y Maria Saavedra; six grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm - 9:00 pm, with a Prayer Service at 06:00 pm on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at Garza Memorial Funeral Home. Chapel service will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, February 1st, 2023, at Garza Memorial Funeral Home. Committal will follow at Guillen Community Cemetery.
