Raul Vega Jr.

Raul Vega Jr., 79, of Brownsville, passed away on Friday, March 1, 2024, at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Brownsville.

Raul Vega Jr. was born in Brownsville, TX, to Lucila Garcia and Raul Vega on September 26, 1944. He worked at Fort Brown for many years as a caddy and then for 31 years at HEB before retirement. He was a big fan of the Houston Astros.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raul Vega and Lucila Garcia; wife, Carmela Vega; siblings, Saul Vega, Robert Vega, and Olga Vaignuer.

Raul Vega, Jr., is survived by his children, Gracie (Michael) Little, Daniel and David Vega; siblings, Noe Vega and Boris Vega; 1 granddaughter, Samantha Vega.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm - 9:00 pm with a Rosary at 7:00 pm Wednesday, March 6th, 2024, at Garza Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm Thursday, March 7th, 2024, at Garza Memorial Funeral Home. Committal will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
