Senorina Nieto Medina, 86, of Brownsville, our beloved Mother, passed away on Monday, April 17, 2023 at her residence. Beloved Mom, be in peace in God's rest.
Senorina was born in Brownsville, TX, to Juan R. Nieto and Petra Cisneros Nieto on April 22, 1936.
She was a devout Catholic and a member of The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception.
She is survived by five daughters, Ludivina Isabel (Robert) Cervantes, Patricia (Edward) Rivera, Leticia (Jose) Vera, Edna Medina (David Morales), and Raquel (Alvaro) Rios; three siblings, Hermina C. Nieto, Francisca Elizondo, and Juan Nieto; and six grandchildren Mom affectionately nicknamed Dorothy, Little Angel, Little Lion, Little Birdie, Ferrari, and Joven; and one great-grandchild.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Rodolfo T. Medina, her parents, and her siblings Maria Casarez, Antonio Nieto, Guadalupe Nieto, and Pablo Nieto.
Visitation will be held Sunday, April 23, 2023 from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Garza Memorial Funeral Home, 1025 E. Jackson St., with a Rosary service to begin at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 24, 2023 at 10:00 am at The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, 1218 E. Jefferson St. Interment will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park, 5 McDavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas.
