Sylvia E. Rios

Sylvia E. Rios, 68, of Brownsville, passed away on Sunday, August 20, 2023, at Aurora House Foundation in Weslaco.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Antonio and Ofelia Benavidez; husband, Juan Arturo Rios.

Mrs. Rios is survived by her sons: John Anthony Rios, and Arturo Rios; siblings: Marco Benavidez, Norma Benavidez, Mario Benavidez, Maricela Guzman, Araceli Leal, and Manuel Benavidez; and eight grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm - 9:00 pm with a Rosary at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, August 23rd, 2023, at Garza Memorial Funeral Home. Chapel Service will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, August 24th, 2023, at Garza Memorial Funeral Home. Committal will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
